Rules
and Regulations for Members Acting as Moderators on Speakout
B.C.:
1.
You must show frequent activity in moderating your given topic
area. Logging in and viewing activity shows us you are indeed
watching over the messages that are posted on the forum.
2.
You are only to delete messages that fall into the category
of hate statements, threats, swearing or defamatory statements.
You cannot delete any statements simply because you personally
disagree with them. Any messages that fit the banned profile
above must be sent to abuse@speakoutbc.com.
3.
You must move messages that do not pertain to the topic you
are moderating into the correct forum.
4.
Any serious problems with individuals posting messages on any
of the forums on the Speakout B.C. website must be brought to
the administrators' attention so that immediate action can take
place.
5.
Failure to follow these simple rules and regulations may cause
your moderator status to be revoked.
These
rules and regulations may be subject to change and all moderators
will be notified of such change(s) as they occur.
In
short, you cannot delete any message solely on the basis that
does not agree with "your" viewpoint on any subject
you moderate. Doing so will mean immediate removal of your moderator
rights.
We wish to allow all visitors to voice their opinion on any
topic open for discussion, and violating any visitor's chance
to do so greatly reduces the whole concept of this site. Your
main objective is to keep your forums clean for all ages to
read, and equally important, to keep visitor postings within
the topic open for discussion.
Speakout
B.C. wishes to thank you for your interest in your status, and
it is our hope that moderating your topic not only gives you
chance to be involved with the issues that people want to talk
about, but also that involvement with this site might lead to
positive changes, depending upon the subjects featured.
